Company description

Etherstack is a British critical communications wireless technology specialist.

The company licenses technology, designs and deploys wireless communications systems and undertakes advanced communications research.

Technology available under licence includes any system element relevant to secure, resilient, real-time wireless systems for defence, public safety and national security - including RF transceiver designs, baseband hardware, waveform software, command and control, MANET and fixed IP networks, cryptography and interoperability gateways.

Etherstack is a long-time advocate of standards to enable interoperability, integration and competition. Licensing technology from Etherstack reduces the effort required to develop equipment and systems; supports the adoption and interoperability of wireless standards; and increases supply chain diversity. Our customers include many of the largest business and government customers in the global defence and critical communications market.

Etherstack has contributed to development of NATO standards and implemented technology to support their adoption. Etherstack offers an implementation of the NATO Narrowband Waveform (STANAG 5630-5633) for air interoperability between NATO allies and also offers standards-based interoperability gateways for radio system to radio system integration; radio system to C2 integration; and radio system to 3GPP MCx integration (3GPP IWF).

We work with our partners and customers to solve the most complex communications problems; including interoperability, portability and form factor, system and service integration and continuity of communications in degraded and contested environments.
