We don’t really have the room for large scale fermentation facilities. When we were presented with the idea of the Cellexus fermentor, the fact it is quite compact, very simple to set up, simple to use, it has steralised disposable bags. It ticked all the boxes we were looking for. So easy to use. We managed to set it up ourselves and do a few runs. Because of the disposable bags, there is no need for cleaning or autoclaving and that is a big advantage for us at the moment with limited facilities. It has a very simple interface. Easy to use computer programme that allows you to control the temperature, the air movement, everything. There is a lot of control with a very easy to use system.
