New Ways of Teaching: skills teachers need in order to teach

The British Council's New Ways of Teaching report, in collaboration with ELT Consultants is an investigation into how education has been able to continue through the COVID-19 pandemic emergency in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Peru. The report looks at a variety of topics of interest to teachers, teacher educators, and policymakers, with a focus on the skills remote teachers need and how they can get them through continuing professional development (CPD). It also touches on diverse areas such as financing, pedagogy, the importance of technology, and the mental health of educators, specifically in primary and secondary education.

Although the study was conducted in only four Latin American countries, for the British Council this is a general overview that can be applied in every area that has been affected by the emergency. If you are a teacher or you are part of the academic community as an educational leader, this report will be a great help to face the new challenges facing
