Electricity North West Limited is one of many companies choosing
Fundamentals – which has included Ferranti Tapchangers as part of
the Fundamentals Group since 2017 – to refurbish, upgrade and
maintain its tapchangers.
In common with other operators, Electricity North West tapchangers
are subject to more demanding duty and performance requirements,
driven by increasing embedded generation and the need to migrate
networks from static to dynamic operation.
The focus on tapchanger performance and reliability is also being
driven by the need to improve the health indices of assets and
minimise outages.
