In 2019, Coventry University developed their state-of-the-art C-ALPS (Centre for Advanced Low-Carbon Propulsion Systems) low carbon technology centre. The £50m project was there to enable industry leading international automotive and aerospace organisations to develop the next generation of electric, hybrid and internal combustion engines. To further improve on future-proof powertrain concepts, S Jones Containers Ltd worked with Coventry University to build a bespoke container for battery storage, having the ability to store their new and used lithium-ion batteries safely.
