ATTOCORE LIMITED

5G non-public networks are being created to enhance the use of innovative digital construction techniques

5G-AMC2

Working in partnership with BAM Nuttall and BRE Group, AttoCore is part of the 5G-AMC2 project, which is aiming to demonstrate the impact of 5G on the construction process. The project is creating 5G Standalone private networks in the n77 band at Kilsyth in Scotland’s central belt and Kergord in the Shetland Islands. The Kilsyth location is a BAM corporate campus. At Kergord, BAM is building a substation on behalf of Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE), connecting into the Viking wind farm. The network at Kergord, will be used to exercise a range of exemplars related to the construction process, including the use of robotics, drones and MR/AR tools for surveying. Enhanced mobile broadband will enable large files to be transmitted at high speeds to specialists working off site and Release 16 based location and positioning will be tested with a range of asset tracking and location related applications. AttoCore will supply the 5G-AMC2 project with its Atto5GC 5G Standalone core
