We have had 500 users since our soft launch and have validated the concept as well as having gained insight into what direction functionality needs to be developed. The basic principals have come from 4 years of building VR apps in the commercial space. Over and over the same issues presented themselves. Successful commercial VR apps need to have:
Ease of use as their heart
Be easy to deploy into existing business workflows
Cost effective with an obvious ROI
Reach the maximum audience possible
Be easy for that audience to use
Be relevant to that audience
Finally solo experiences offer few if any advantages to the commercial sector as isolating the customer or person to be trained does little to enhance current reality based practices.
