Oil Well Water Shut Off Workover Project

- Project was completed for an offshore oil field with Triassic sandstone reservoirs.
- Developed a proposal to shut off water in an oil production well, and add perforations in an upper reservoir zone.
- Constructed a MBAL history match model, and matched RFT, BHP, oil rates, GOR, and water cut.
- Constructed PROSPER models to match well tests and create vertical lift curves.
- Constructed GAP pipeline models to evaluate the impact of subsea back-out on another well that was sharing a pipeline.
- Generated workover wellbore and incremental profiles from GAP models.
- Used PEEP software to complete economics evaluation and estimated the NPV, profit to investment ratio, DCFR and payback period.
- Secured management approval to execute the workover project for 24 MMUSD.
- Added 38 MMUSD value and 6000 stb/d oil rate to the asset.
- Isolated 8000 stb/d water production and reduced water treatment costs.
