Far East Customer

A major customer of AMS is a Far East Asian company who supply parts to automotive manufacturers in the UK. The goods are shipped with vat and duty unpaid, stored under bond at AMS, then dispatched with the duties liability transferring to a deferment account. In addition to the usual warehousing services, our customer has requested EDI inbound notification and advance shipping notification, in-depth part inspections, decanting parts into trackside arca trays, web portal access for live stock data, submitting customs declarations and managing vat payments to HMRC for a specific part.

AMS works closely with port agents, haulers and HMRC customs to ensure the movement of goods, whether customs duties liable or non-liable, from port to warehouse to plant is effectively and accurately managed.
