Succession in a Family Business

As a family business, "succession" challenged us. I knew I needed to learn how to lead others to become leaders and so joined the QuoLux leadership program LEAD.
Through the many changes I made as I implemented my learning, I achieved my main objective: to help others, the next generation, advance their leadership roles in the business. Several family members have been on LEAD too, learning new tools, developing competences and stepping up to challenges that they hadn’t done before.
I learned how to coach and more importantly, how to delegate. This skill has really helped in supporting the next generation to delegate more, something that none of us find easy. This has gifted us extra benefit as our people are coming forward with ideas to improve, and life is less stressful with decisions being made at a far lower level across the company.
I have gained insights, knowledge, reflected & shared learning. With my new knowledge and skills we used the techniques to work through issues.
