Wind Farm Power and Data Connection

Excavating a 26km route through agricultural land, SCD installed 132kV trefoil formation cable duct with pilots.
Tackling environmental issues and working in sensitive agricultural areas, we managed the design and works to ensure the impact and disruption was kept to a minimum.
Designed and constructed concrete bases for 34 turbines.
SCD was also commissioned to conduct the installation of a new water main and telecommunications facilities supplying the new substation for the wind farm at Keadby.
Upon completion the wind farm will provide power to the equivalent of 37,000 homes.
