Installation of Prefabricated Containerized Buildings

Scope of work included erection of prefabricated units as well as fixing of electrical fittings, plumbing fittings and window type air conditioning units to facilitate troop accommodation and administration facilities in Mogadishu, Somalia. The scope of work under the main contract included preparation of ground work, construction of foundations, walkways, septic tanks, soak away pits, evaporation ponds, manholes and connection of and fixing of all external plumbing and sanitary lines.
Power generation and reticulation, water treatment and distribution, drainage and waste disposal facilities were undertaken by RA International under separate and substantial contracts to this main contract.
In all, under this contract, RA established UN camps in 10 locations in and around Mogadishu with camps comprised of single module prefabricated unit, three module prefabricated unit, six module prefabricated unit, prefabricated kitchen/dining unit, prefabricated ablution unit – type I-II-III-IV.
