Security Risk Management Course - North Eastern Nigeria

In late 2017, CADENCE delivered their Security Risk Management Course to the NGO ‘Street Child’ in Maiduguri, NE Nigeria. The Street Child programme financed by the Nigerian Humanitarian Fund under the United Nations Organisation for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) seeks to integrate a joint child protection and education approach.

Working alongside personnel from: Street Child, the American University of Nigeria, the Gender Equality Peace and Development Centre, the Herwa Community Development Initiative, the Intercommunity Development Social Orgainsation, and the North East Youth Initiative Forum, CADENCE delivered staff training and assistance in the development of Security Risk Management processes and procedures.

CADENCE delivered a program of: discussion groups, working groups, simulation and scenario led practical training. The training culminated with a staff Table Top Exercise in order to confirm learning and challenge the training audience.
