Detailed analysis of the audience types began with workshops with both end users and stakeholders, to ensure that the site was centred around the user’s needs.
The No.1 requirement was for new and existing businesses to quickly determine whether they would be eligible for finance. The new eligibility checker is designed to provide a 5-minute check to let them know if they are eligible, how much finance they could potentially raise and how to start the application process.
The next priority task for users was to quickly apply for loans. We developed a fully encrypted, multistep application form for users to apply for funding and to save their progress at any time, so they can resume the application later.
The site is built on the open-source Drupal 8 content management system (CMS). This provides a secure, reliable and future-proofed bilingual solution which is easy for the communications team to administer.
