Stella Hockley was instructed to make monthly inspections and in month #2 received an emergency phone call on a Sunday morning as water was pouring into a neighbour’s apartment. It transpired that the water was going all the way through Prof. P’s apartment from the apartment above his. Prof. P was very pleased that Stella was in attendance within ½ hour and dealt with the tricky neighbour, who felt it “wasn’t his problem” as his apartment was perfectly fine and the relevant insurers, managing agent and decorators.
