36.50m Multi-Mac Design
'London Titan' - a 36.50m MMV for the Port of London Authority
The task of keeping waterways clean and maintaining them is an ongoing and increasingly demanding one that presents many challenges to authorities and operators of ports around our coastline. From a designer’s perspective this poses new opportunities and unforeseen challenges as clients require more capable and more versatile vessels to keep up with demand. The Port of London Authority were in need of a suitable vessel to replace their existing workboats, which could fulfil detailed requirements while providing a more efficient and cost-effective solution. The vessel was designed with the following tasks in mind: clearing obstructions and rubbish, salvage work, navigation buoy maintenance, towing & pushing, plough dredging, anchor handling, service & support for civil engineering works and diving operations. The vessel was also named the ‘Best Maintenance Vessel’ of 2015 by Work Boat World.
