Stoneythorpe Eco-Village, UK

Representing a unique development opportunity, the ambition for Stoneythorpe Village is for a model eco-settlement that incorporates passive energy generation, ‘best practice’ sustainable design principles, an underlying landscape structure and a sustainable transport strategy that includes flexibility in the arrangement of the road network to accommodate driverless vehicles in the future.

Working with a multi-disciplinary team of ecologists, transport planners, highways designers and M+E engineers, Place-Make's role included the preparation of a vision strategy for the new community and provision of the full suite of planning material, including development parameter plans, design guidelines and an over-arching planning report.
