The Distillery - In 2018, the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire enquired as to if anyone was producing gin on the estate. At the time our brewery had been moved to another location and we had the space and wanted to be part of the wish to create a collection of gins for the Cavendish family. Chatysworth Gin and Chatsworth Rose Pink Gin are produced using selected botanicals from the actual Chatsworth House Garden and Greenhouse and are distilled locally from where the key botanicals are grown. Both gins are traditional London Dry Gins whose elegance in both the presentation bottle and taste have won multiple awards in the last year alone. Chatsworth Gin - Silver International Wine and Spirits Challenge 2022 Tasting Notes: "Richly resinous and roundly aromatic herbal notes of juniper and cooling pine entice. A clean, vibrant citrus palate is well balanced by a satisfying long finish. A beautifully big and bold gin with delightfully fresh and moreish flavours that continue seamlessly to the finish. Magnificently classical in its complexity and structure. A joy to drink." Chatsworth Rose Pink Gin - Silver World Gin Awards 2022 Tasting Notes: "Floral, juniper and citrus peel notes on the nose and palate. Light and gentle with lots of elegant nuances. Fresh and classic in style." Last year we distilled our own spirit range with Bilberry London Dry Gin and Pink Grapefruit with Hibiscus. Bilberry London Dry Gin has won a Silver medal in the London Spirits Competition 2024. The Brewery - Peak Ales Brewery brewed their first ale in 2005, Bakewell Best Bitter. Traditional ales ranging from Bitters to Golden and India Pale Ales, our award winning craft ales are served in hotels, public house, cafes, bars and restaurants alongside our retail customer outlets. At the end of 2014 we upgraded our brewing equipment to a 20 barrel plant inside our purpose built premises in the picturesque location of Ashford in the Water, near the market town of Bakewell in Derbyshire.
