Willingsford is a British, research-heavy, medical device company specialising in wounds. Our first-in-class approved treatment for wounds has repeatedly been proven effective and superior to current standard care. Our treatment, MPPT (technical name) is available as Amicapsil (human) and SertaSil (veterinary) for the treatment of wounds, ulcers, and burns. It is CE-marked and acts by supporting the immune system in removing wound infection and in supporting tissue regeneration. It does not involve any antimicrobials and is effective on antimicrobial-resistant infections and will not contribute to new antimicrobial resistance. Safety and efficacy of MPPT have been demonstrated in four clinical trials. Most recently, two clinical studies found a 100% closure rate for acute and chronic pressure ulcers in an immunocompromised patient population, resulting in per-wound cost savings of 86% or more. MPPT only contains biologically recyclable ingredients, and it will not contribute to climate change or environmental pollution. MPPT is effective in immunocompetent and immunocompromised individuals. It is easy to use and is suitable for telemedicine and self-care. Bed rest is not required. It is supported by extensive training material, including for the end-user. MPPT is approved in the EU and UK since 2016.
