374th Contracting Squadron is seeking the interest of potential and eligible contractors in a construction contract at Yokota Air Base, Japan. This is a construction only project and the contract will require the contractor to renovate Tower 3004 and grounds. The work will include but not limited to the following:
a. Demolition, including removal of hazardous materials.
b. Exterior and interior repairs, consisting of reroofing, repainting, replacement of all doors and windows, railings, room finishes, millwork and casework,, partition and ceilings, bird netting, and bath accessories.
c. Upgrade elevators
d. Ground Work: Consisting of new sidewalks and ramps, site utilities, including fire water supply, fire standpipe distribution, sewer and gas.
e. Construct new fire pump and generator building.
f. Construct new air chiller enclosure.
g. Upgrade fire protection systems, including new fire water supply, dry standpipes, fire pumps, fire suppressions system, fire detection, alarm, and mass notification, new fire command center, and life safety code improvements.
h. Replace mechanical systems, consisting of new HVAC, plumbing, and gas systems.
I. Replace electrical systems, consisting of exterior service, main distribution, power distribution panels, light fixtures, and wiring.
j. Replace communication systems with new MDF and cabling.
k. Incidental Related work.
The contract will be valued at more than $10,000,000 (JPY1,115,938,000). The successful offeror must be licensed and registered to perform work in the country of Japan in accordance with DFARS 252.225-7042, "Authorization to Perform". In addition, the successful offeror shall provide the performance bond in accordance with FAR 28.102, Performance and Payment Bonds and Alternative Payment Protections for Construction Contracts.
