PROJECT TITLE: Infantry Barracks (HS-6) Stabilization
THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY!!! The National Park Service, Midwest Region Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO), intends to issue a solicitation for the stabilization of Infantry Barracks (HS-6) at Fort Scott National Historic Site, Fort Scott, KS.
On or about June 15, 2019, the Department of Interior, National Park Service, Midwest Region Major Acquisition Buying Office intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) 140P6219R0001 on Federal Business Opportunities (https://www.fbo.gov), for the stabilization of Infantry Barracks (HS-6) at Fort Scott National Historic Site.
This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. In order to be awarded a contract an offeror must have a DUNS number, be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications.
The work consists of remove sections of concrete flooring, install new concrete footings/pads, install steel beams attached to the new concrete and existing I-beams. Any disturbed interior floor, wall, or ceiling surfaces will be finished to match existing conditions. Remove existing siding on the gable ends and back walls. Remove existing, exposed insulation. Sister new studs to the exposed exterior studs. This will require the removal and replacement of some existing wiring, piping, and perhaps ducting. New insulation will then be installed. Plywood will be attached horizontally to the new and existing framing. A house/Tyvek wrap will cover the new plywood. Refurbished or new Western Red Cedar siding will be installed to match existing revels. The siding surfaces will be primed and painted to match existing.
THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% WOMEN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
Type of Contract: One (1) Firm-Fixed Price Contract will be awarded on a best value basis.
NAICS CODE: 236200 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction).The small business standard is $36.5M. In accordance with FAR 36.204(c) the Project Magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000.
Contract Period of Performance: Estimated at 90 days
SITE VISIT: A site visit prior to quote submission is strongly encouraged. Site Visit information will be in the posted solicitation.
