The Government of Egypt represented by Gharbia company for water and wastewater “Gharbia WSC”. has received a loan from the European Investment Bank, and a grant from the European Union through the Neighbourhood Investment Platform “NIP” and intends to apply a part of the financing for the execution of the design build contract of Tanta Wastewater Treatment Plant 100,000m3
Gharbia Company for Water and Wastewater invites sealed Tenders for the design and build contract of Tanta Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Contractor’s scope of work shall include all elements/aspects to ensure the proper implementation of the project which includes but noy limited to the following: • Verification of all data given in tender documents.• Preparation of detailed designs including submission of all design calculations as per Egyptian Code or the International Standards (standards guaranteeing a level of quality or performance equivalent or superior to those indicated will also be accepted) called for in the tender documents and as well submission of proving documentation attached to the relevant calculation. • The Contractor is obliged to modify his submitted design to the satisfaction of the Engineer recommendation and accordingly fulfil the final approved design requirements (civil works, electromechanical works, etc.) without any additional cost. • Preparation of Detailed Design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the new Tanta WWTP with flow capacities as indicated in Table 1 in the invitation to tenders in the tender documents. • As indicated above, the WWTP will be designed on the following flowrates:• Design flowrate (2037) = 100,000 m3/d • Design flowrate (2057) = 150,000 m3/d For more detailed scope, please see PART2, Section VI – Employer’s requirements in the tender documents.
