Description

The project assignment concerns the collection and processing of Annex I, IV, V and VI waste from ships (at the request of the shipping company or ship's agent) in the port area of the Rotterdam Rijnmond Region, to which the cost recovery system (100% cost recovery Annex V and at least 30% cost recovery Annex I, IV and VI) applies. The Open House is an application procedure in which an agreement is concluded with all parties who apply and who meet the set conditions. Only parties with whom an agreement has been concluded in accordance with the open house are eligible for invoicing the costs incurred with respect to collection in accordance with the cost recovery system included in the MARPOL Convention.
The open house gives the possibility to admit any provider during the entire term who can provide the relevant services (collection of ship-generated waste) at the agreed conditions and rates (see guideline). The Port Authority will not refuse any providers who meet these minimum conditions. In order not to create obstacles to this end, admission is constantly possible.Providers admitted to the open house will be offered an agreement for signature. Participation, admission and signing the agreement are not a guarantee of turnover. This is up to the provider.
