Description

The core of the assignment concerns the design, refurbishing, installation of communications and transport of the waste separation units. 1 058 existing waste separation units are to be refurbished. And 192 similar units have to be made extra, as circular as possible. Because the Contracting Authority cannot do without waste units in its offices, it will (probably) have to work in batches. After the first batch of units has been made, the refurbished units can be exchanged on location for units still to be refurbished.
A circular economy is an economic system of closed cycles in which raw materials, components and products lose their value as little as possible (i.e. with as much reuse of materials as possible, and with as little addition of new raw materials as possible), the use of renewable energy sources and system thinking, preferably with chain partners, is central (= overseeing short and long term consequences). In addition, social inclusiveness also forms part of the circular economy.
