Upgrading of the Langmeil (Pfalz)-Monsheim railway line ("Zellertalbahn")

Track construction with renewal of culvert km 0.365 (3322)
The railway line from Langmeil (Pfalz) to Monsheim is to be upgraded in order to maintain train operations.
The 27.7 km long standard gauge, non-electrified line Langmeil (Pfalz) - Monsheim is located in Rhineland-Palatinate and runs in west-east direction mainly within the Donnersberg district and in the last section in the district of Alzey-Worms.

In the station Langmeil the Zellertalbahn connects to the line of the Deutsche Bahn AG 3320 Hochspeyer - Bad Münster am Stein and in Monsheim to the line 3560 Worms - Gensingen. The kilometre marking starts at Langmeil station at km 0.0 and ends at Marnheim station at km 14.3+45, as this line originally led to Kirchheimbolanden. The continuation starts at Marnheim station at km 0.0 and ends at Monsheim station at km 12.8+95. The line sections are marked with the DB AG route numbers 3322 and 3561 (course book route: 662.1).
Existing superstructure type S 49, rail fastening K and KS on concrete sleepers (in a few cases already B 70) and wooden sleepers.
The Donnersbergkreis intends to award the following works according to VOB by public tender.
Switch renewal

- Replacement of the turnout sleeper sets in three turnouts in Marnheim station
Track renewal

- sleeper replacement on tracks 2 and 7 in Marnheim station

Track renewal line 3322

- Sleeper replacement km 0.2 - 1.1

- Renewal of culvert km 0.365
