TENDER NOTICE
19-236 -AO-C (084113)
The contractor has overall responsibility for the project. He must carry out all the work specified in the plans and specifications. To get used to it, it must hire all the required labour and subcontractors and provide all the materials and equipment.
This work mainly includes:
- Replacement or modifications to existing sprinkler piping to meet the latest applicable standards;
- Replacement of CPVC piping exposed in some areas with new black steel piping in accordance with ASTM A53 specifications. Piping conforming to ASTM A106 (seamless) or ASTM A135 ('ERW') is also accepted;
- Modification of CPVC piping and conversion of existing sprinklers in some areas to allow for the installation of a thermal barrier and limit exposure of existing CPVC piping;
- Replacement of damaged existing sprinklers and/or reconditioning of existing sprinklers;
- The addition of new sprinklers in some areas to complete the effective coverage;
- The construction of a new suspended ceiling, above the sink in all patient rooms, as well as in some closets..;
- Closing and sealing openings in fire separations to ceilings or floors on either side of the building;
- The addition of locking devices in the'open' position with seals on some existing unsupervised fire protection valves;
- Modification / dismantling of existing non-functional signalling and fire alarm components;
- Drilling and levelling of all walls, floors and ceilings required for all work, including those required for subcontractors (mechanical and electrical). Ragger the walls and floors as they are now;
- Rehabilitation such as the existing of all walls affected by the work, including painting;
- The dismantling of the ceilings, to allow the work to be carried out and their repair, following the work;
- The realization of blowing and gypsum fallout including painting, such as the existing one (finished and color);
- Architectural hardware work (doors, etc.);
- Perform all other minor work shown on the plans and/or described in the specifications;

Bids will be received and opened publicly on the following date and location:

2. Information visit
During the call for tenders period, the project manager will organize an information visit to the CHSLD de l'Île-Perrot, located at 200 boul Perrot, Île-Perrot, in the conference room, on June 20, 2019 at 1:00 pm. During these visits, representatives of the Project Manager will answer questions from bidders.
Bidders are requested to present themselves at the main entrance of the centre.
All bidders, contractors and subcontractors will be considered to have visited the site and no claims for lack of knowledge of the site may be submitted or accepted.
3. Tender security
A bid bond issued by a guarantor in the amount of ten per cent of the bid price, valid for a period of 45 days from the bid opening date.
THE PROJECT MANAGER NOTIFIES BIDDERS THAT NO BID SECURITY MAY BE PROVIDED IN THE FORM OF A CHEQUE, CERTIFIED CHEQUE OR BANK DRAFT, AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 7 OF THE INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.
