Description

Department for Education provide transport assistance to students with disability from their home to the nearest appropriate school that can meet their needs, in accordance with departmental criteria. 
The department is committed to ensuring that students with disability gain the necessary knowledge, skills and attributes to achieve their highest level of learning and participate successfully in society.  In support of this objective, transport assistance is provided to support students with disability who attend:
•      Special preschools/schools;
•      Special units; and
•      Special classes.
The department is now giving providers the opportunity to submit an Expression of Interest to join the Panel of providers for the provision of Transport Services for Students with Disabilities.
