Description
Contracting Authority intends to procure a Primary Delivery of minimum 20 metro Vehicles for delivery in the period 2027 to 2028, with options for additional 90 Vehicles.
The metro network of Oslo is expanding, with a new 8 km extension line to Fornebu (Fornebubanen), and a modern CBTC signalling system. More metro vehicles are needed for this expansion, and a project has been established to procure new metro Vehicles. The new Vehicles are named M4000. The M4000-Vehicles will not replace the existing MX3000-fleet but will operate in parallel with the existing metro vehicles.Contracting Authority intends to procure a Primary Delivery of minimum 20 metro Vehicles for delivery in the period 2027 to 2028, with options for additional 90 Vehicles. The state and local authorities have common ambitious plans to absorb all future growth in passenger mobility without increase of car traffic. Hence, a comprehensive Option program is needed to address further general growth of the Oslo Metro, and it may be relevant to increase the number of Vehicles by up to a total of 110 Vehicles.
