Company description
The University Hospital of Tübingen is a leading centre of German university medicine, treating approx. 70,000 in-patients and approx. 350,000 out-patients annually. Our area of responsibility includes 10 institutes and 17 clinics with approx. 1,500 beds and 40,000 medical and laboratory devices.
The University Hospital Tübingen intends to conduct a market investigation for the "Universitätsklinikum Zentrum für Physiotherapie gGmbH" (UZP), an independent 100% subsidiary, as well as for the Department of Sports Medicine- of the UKT.
Type and procedure of the market investigation
The offered articles are subject to the specifications of occupational safety as well as the hygiene regulations of the Robert-Koch-Institute (RKI) and the German Society for Hospital Hygiene (DGKH). Compliance with the relevant DIN, EN and ISO standards must be ensured. In addition, the service offered must comply with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 April 2017 concerning medical devices or Directive 93/42/EEC concerning medical devices, the Medical Devices Act (MPG) and Medical Devices Operator Ordinance(MPBetreibV).
The awarding authority requests that expressions of interest be submitted in German with a legally binding signed cover letter by 12:00 noon on 24.02.2021.
We also ask you to submit documents (technical data sheets, product descriptions, CE declaration of conformity and other product-specific documents, etc.) for the relevant devices in accordance with the requirements explained in the appendix.

Natural and legal persons are admitted to the market investigation procedure as individual companies or as a group of natural and/or legal persons as an applicant association. An authorised representative must be appointed in the procedure to represent a consortium.
It is planned to evaluate the documents submitted in the market investigation procedure and to use them as a basis of information for the possible continuation of procurement. The interested parties will be informed of the results of the procedure.
Legal nature of the market investigation procedure
This is a non-formal market investigation procedure as a transparent and non-discriminatory procedure outside of public procurement law.
The documents submitted serve to prepare the decision as to whether and in what form an award procedure with the aim of procurement will be carried out at a later date.
The awarding authority is not bound by the results of the market investigation procedure.
The participants in the market investigation procedure are not contractually bound to their attachments and statements listed in the market investigation, nor are they bound to them in the context of any subsequent award procedure.
The submitted documents become the property of the University Hospital of Tübingen.
The documents will be treated confidentially and will not be passed on to third parties.
Reimbursement of costs incurred by participants as a result of processing in this procedure is excluded. There is no entitlement to prizes.
The legal process is excluded.
The University Hospital of Tübingen reserves the right to check the correctness of the information provided.
The awarding authority reserves the right to consider only those responses which comprehensively fulfil the specified requirements and in which the specified requirements are explicitly addressed.
We also reserve the right to carry out a verifying trial order to check the information provided at the bidder's expense.
In addition, the special contractual conditions for delivery and service as well as the General Terms and Conditions of the University Hospital of Tübingen apply.
Description of the training equipment
The equipment to be used in joint use by the UZP and Sports Medicine in diagnostics, therapy and training should include the functions listed in the Annex and be capable of providing the corresponding services.
