Intent to Award
In accordance with 10 U.S. Code ยง 2371b Section 815, the U.S. Army Contracting Command- New Jersey, on behalf of the Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III Program Office, intends to enter into an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) for Thin Wall Castings for Aerospace Applications with WDC Acquisitions, LLC, dba Wellman Dynamics, located in Creston, IA, based on their proposal submitted to the Government via Prototype Project Opportunity Notice (PPON) W15QKN-19-X-05XX.

The Department of Defense requires an improved domestic industrial base capability for the manufacture of Large, Aerospace-Grade (per AMS 2175), Complex (Multi-core), Sand-cast, Thin-wall, Aluminum and Magnesium Castings by developing, implementing, and demonstrating an improved manufacturing process with the capability to produce these castings to support DoD rotorcraft fleets in the form of maintenance and replacement parts, retrofits, and technological upgrades, specifically structural and drivetrain components for next-generation rotorcraft platforms. Wellman Dynamics proposed a solution that is most advantageous to the Government to fulfill the requirements of the PPON.
