Responses to RFIs are available in ProjNet. *****AM-0002 The purpose of this Amendment is to extend the due date of RFI submissions (Round 2) to 24 January 2024. The proposal due date and time is unchanged. ******************AM-0001 The purpose of this Amendment is to provide Government Responses to Contractor Request for Information (RFI) Round 1 and to release amended specifications and drawings. Round 2 RFI is open for questions. See Section 00 21 16. The proposal due date and time is unchanged. ******************This Design-Bid-Build (DBB) construction project is to construct a corrosion control facility for painting large-bodied aircraft. An adequately sized and configured two Aircraft Corrosion Control Center to meet the KC-46 missions is required. The Aircraft Corrosion Control Center will include two hangar operations. The Aircraft Prep Hangar Bay is required to provide hangar space for corrosion treatment preparation of an entire aircraft and an environmentally controlled area to wash aircraft. The prep program shall also provide space for the corrosion control shop preparation and drying areas, abrasive blasting rooms, tool storage lockers, bathroom and locker rooms, administrative areas, a ready room, storage space, and building support spaces. The Aircraft Corrosion Control Hangar Bay is required to provide hangar space for corrosion treating, corrosion repairing, paint stripping and repainting of an entire aircraft and an environmentally controlled area to wash aircraft. The corrosion control program shall also provide space for the corrosion control shop and drying areas, abrasive blasting rooms, paint booths for mixing and applying paint, tool storage lockers, bathroom and locker rooms, administrative areas, storage space, and building support areas. This project will demolish B3542 (2,832 square meters).This contract will be performed in its entirety in the country of Japan, and any solicitation posted will be intended for local sources only. Local sources are those sources physically located and licensed to conduct business in Japan. See local source information within this notice. See Section 00 22 00 for Submission Requirements.
