The town of Monheim am Rhein is a medium-sized town in the district of Mettmann with a population of around 43,000. It is planning to set up a daycare center for four children in the existing Kirberger Hof farmstead in Monheim Baumberg. The current courtyard site is already recorded on maps from the 18th century and is entered in the Monheim list of monuments. The settlement history of the Baumberg district was significantly influenced by five farmsteads, with the Kirberger Hof being the oldest, most important and only surviving farmstead.
