Description

Waterford Training Centre requires 3D Printers for the FabLab, New Ross. The equipment is intended for use in a trainee garage/workshop environment in the FabLab and must be of construction, materials and finish which are suitable for this use. This is to include supply of comprehensive training manuals, after sales support and maintenance where required.

Waterford Wexford Education Training Board (WWETB) are setting up a FabLab based in New Ross. The FabLab team will work alongside student’s industry / business and entrepreneurs generating ideas and developing new products. This is done using the wide range of software and resources available. We require a wide range of rapid prototyping machines to equip the FabLab.
The FabLab specialises in product design and development, where staff help user (students, local business and entrepreneurs) take their initial ideas and develop them into prototypes. The centre will give users the opportunity to upskill in current technologies in order to improve products or processes. The centre provides training and skills development for students, teaching them state of the art processes such as 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining and a range of software applications preparing them for further education and careers development. Knowledge is constantly transferred giving users a unique, hand on user experience

Waterford and Wexford ETB invites responses (“Tenders”) to this Request for tenders (“RFT”) from economics operators (“Tenderers”) for participation in a specific contract for supply of the goods and related services (together referred to in this RFT as “the goods” as described under Section 4.1 Requirements and Specification of the RFT). Delivery of equipment will be in MAMF Section, Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board, Waterford Training Centre, Waterford Business Park, Cork Road, Waterford.
