The state of Brandenburg, represented by the Brandenburg State Office for Real Estate and Construction (BLB), is planning to renovate the media technology and lighting in the university's Audimax for the user, Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences. The building was refurbished as an auditorium in 2006 and was previously the riding stables of a barracks. It is a listed building. The technical installations are mainly located in the attic and are largely concealed by acoustic panels. Maintenance work on the smoke and heat extraction openings is only possible after closing the Audimax and scaffolding the hall. The aim of the planning is to install a maintenance corridor along the technical installations in the roof area, from which maintenance of the technology located there can be carried out without having to close off and scaffold the Audimax beforehand.
