The Stadthalle Bad Godesberg, built in 1955, is an event center in the spa gardens of Bonn-Bad Godesberg, close to the city center. It consists of several event rooms of different sizes and a restaurant. After almost 70 years of existence, the building is due for a comprehensive refurbishment that will bring it up to date in terms of construction, content, economy, ecology and technology and ensure its long-term, successful use in the future. The property is a place of assembly, i.e. the Ordinance on the Construction and Operation of Special Buildings (Sonderbauverordnung - SBauVO) of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia applies. Two usage units are planned - an event and conference area and a restaurant as a catering service for everyone - which can be used independently of each other. The event and conference area takes up the largest part of the space. It consists of the Great Hall, the Small Hall and the adjoining small halls and foyers. The restaurant, located in the north-western area, is visible as a two-storey structure. On the first floor is the guest area including adjoining outdoor terraces; on the upper floor is an associated small conference room and a former tenant's apartment, which is to contain offices and staff rooms in the future. Interfaces are the kitchen areas and the shared service yard. A fully equipped kitchen clearly associated with the restaurant is desired for independent operation. In addition, there is to be a banquet kitchen area in the future that can be used by caterers selected by customers to prepare their meals. The existing service yard does not currently meet the requirements and is to be redesigned accordingly.
