Description

The property in question is the Regional Social Court (LSG) Essen, Zweigertsraße 54 in 45130 Essen. The building is located in the Essen Justice Center and is divided into 3 parts: A (high-rise building), B (connecting building) and C (extension). 4-storey building part C is to be fitted with a disabled-accessible external elevator, which is accessed from outside the building via the fire department access road on Virchowstraße. The disabled-accessible passenger elevator is located directly on the façade of building section C and travels to 5 stopping points (access level, ground floor and 1st-3rd floors). Earthworks are planned in the area of the new elevator, including shoring for the foundation of the elevator. The window openings for the elevator stops will be converted on the 1st to 3rd floors. The elevator vestibule will be upgraded in terms of fire protection and the airlock system on the first floor will be omitted. 2 variants will be evaluated according to the same requirements (in accordance with the contract):1. access to the elevator via a disabled ramp and a staircase to the landing (see attached plan) with 4 stopping points.2. access via a staircase without a ramp. Barrier-free access via the elevator with additional stopping point on the access level (5 stopping points).outdoor facilities Accessibility to the building / elevator and the design of the outdoor facilities, including disabled parking and taking into account the fire department access, are to be implemented with the open space planning. The planning includes, among other things, the renewal of the staircase, the handicapped accessible ramp and a disabled parking space in the area in front of the gable facade of component C on Virchowstraße (see attached plan).the staircase to the entrance door, the area in front of the elevator, as well as the access route from the disabled parking space to the entrance will receive lighting.more details can be found in the contract documents.
