Description

The district of Uckermark is structurally characterized to a large extent by the local chemical process industry. Due to the current and future decline in the importance of fossil fuels and demographic change, the region is under acute pressure to transform. The region is therefore aiming to establish an "Innovation Campus" at the Schwedt\/Oder site with funding from the Just Transition Fund (JTF). As part of this, a series of coordinated individual measures should make it possible to promote innovation and start-ups, secure jobs and create new, sustainable jobs for a climate-neutral economy. With the aim of training and further education geared towards renewable energies and the digital economy, a new, cross-company training technology center is to be built at the site of the Oberstufenzentrum (OSZ) in Schwedt\/Oder. A building is to be constructed for this purpose and equipped accordingly: including a vehicle hall with a model of an electric car, a workshop for setting up a mini electrolyser, chemistry, physics and electrical cabinets and a digital welding cabinet as well as additional PC cabinets, possibly a canteen and infrastructural facilities. The district of Uckermark expects a conceptual idea for the new construction planning of a teaching technology center at the OSZ site in Schwedt\/Oder from the procedure. The planning and step-by-step realization includes the new building with its building structure for the teaching technology center and its operation. The aim of the procedure is to find an architectural office that is able to develop and subsequently implement an urban planning, architectural and content-related solution for the building construction project to be planned and realized.
