The district of Herford is planning to build a new rescue station in Vlotho
The site is located at Salzufflener Straße 89 in the Hollwiesen III industrial estate, Vlotho. The new rescue station is divided into 2 areas. The first area will have a basement, the second area will not. The construction method is predominantly conventional reinforced concrete and masonry construction. The roof construction of the vehicle hall and vehicle wash hall consists of a timber supporting structure made of glulam trusses with trapezoidal sheeting on top. All other roofs are made of reinforced concrete. The outside area will be paved. Later access to the property will be via a driveway and a separate exit. The exterior façade consists of thermal insulation plaster and an HPL façade.
The roofs will be fitted with a green roof and PV systems. The energy standard is KFW 55
