The city of Prenzlau and Stadtwerke Prenzlau GmbH are planning to rebuild the "Steinstraße" road. The road will be completely rebuilt and includes the road, rainwater drainage and various utilities of Stadtwerke Prenzlau; the entire section to be rebuilt runs from the B 109, Marktberg to the observatory at the city administration and is approx. 400 m long. In order to make the road construction more bearable for businesses and residents, including the necessary road closures, several different construction sections were formed. Construction sections 1.1 and 1.2 (after the access road to the REWE parking lot up to before the junction with Diesterwegstraße) were already put out to tender in 2023 and are currently being completed. The subject of this planning and tender is construction section 2.1. Section 2.1 begins before the Diesterwegstraße junction up to the observatory at the city administration (approx. 110 m).Construction work on section 2.1 is expected to start on 22.07.2024.Sections 2.2 and 2.3 will be tendered separately at a later date.
