Description
The city of Gelsenkirchen is planning to set up emergency information points in order to be able to inform the population about necessary measures in the event of a blackout (i.e. a power outage for the entire city of Gelsenkirchen for a period of 72 hours). the energy crisis triggered by the war in Ukraine has shown how sensitive and vulnerable the energy supply systems are to such an emergency. In order to ensure a certain basic supply and ability to work for the city administration in the event of a blackout, a total of five buildings in the city of Gelsenkirchen are to be prepared as emergency information points. in order to supply the emergency information points with electricity, these buildings must be equipped with a connection option for an appropriately dimensioned emergency power system (emergency power generator). if necessary, the emergency power systems are then moved to the corresponding points, connected and put into operation. The devices are already fully installed units, which are assembled and ready for operation in closed container units (roll-off containers), including a corresponding storage tank. The devices are to be procured by the city of Gelsenkirchen and stored at a central location so that they can be set up at the selected and prepared buildings in the event of an emergency.
