The city of Emsdetten is planning the conversion and extension of the Kardinal-von-Galen school and the construction of a double sports hall on the current site. The aims of the project are 1. implementation of the approved room program 2. implementation of the "cluster school" concept 3. consideration of the aspects of energy-efficient refurbishment, fire protection and accessibility 4. preservation of the existing green structure as far as possible, particularly in the schoolyard area 5. implementation of the strategic objectives, such as. Climate neutrality by 2038 and the creation of a more attractive learning location with good conditions for children and young people to grow up 6. Implementation of the project and subsequent certification according to the sustainability approach of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and the three-pillar model of economy, ecology and social issues. The project is to be realized at the current location of the school on the property Padkamp 20, 48282 Emsdetten (parcel 46, parcel 873) In the first stage, the planning has been completed up to and including service phase 3. Now the service phases 4-8 regarding the object planning - buildings and interiors are being awarded.
