Description
The purpose of this contract is to provide technical assistance, expertise and support for the federal Drug-Free Workplace Program (DFWP) which is a statutory, regulatory program pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) 12564 and Public Law (P.L.) 100-71 (Section 503). This contract provides technical support to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP), Division of Workplace Programs (DWP) in administering the day-to-day operations of the DFWP; monitoring federal Executive Branch agencies’ compliance with the DFWP; and satisfying the program’s regulatory requirements among federal Executive Branch agencies and within the drug testing industry.
This contract will provide technical assistance and support to DWP and DFWP stakeholders such as:
Federal Executive Branch agencies’ leadership and Drug Program Coordinators (DPCs)
Workgroups such as the Drug Testing Advisory Board (DTAB) and Medical Review Officer (MRO) workgroup
MROs of drug testing labs and those in the drug testing industry who use the MRO Guidance Manual and Case Studies, and Mandatory Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing Programs
