Description

The Nahverkehrsverbund Schleswig-Holstein GmbH (NAH.SH GmbH), based in Kiel, organises the local rail passenger transport (SPNV) for the state of Schleswig-Holstein in its capacity as the responsible body, NAH.SH GmbH pursues a long-term service concept which will considerably increase the attractiveness of the SPNV by increasing the frequency of services and reducing journey times. Due to the fact that the many single-track railway lines in Schleswig-Holstein are already being used to capacity by existing traffic, an increase in capacity is only conceivable through additional crossing possibilities and infrastructure expansions. Work phases 1-2 (optionally 3-4) are to be planned in accordance with HOAI in all trades and it is to be ensured that suitable locations for overhead line masts can be selected in the context of later electrification (mast lanes etc.).

Within the transport association, districts, independent cities and the state of Schleswig-Holstein work together to develop a modern and economical local rail and road transport system. The aim of NAH.SH GmbH is to attract more passengers to Schleswig-Holstein's local public transport system by offering an attractive range of services. Since the many single-track railway lines in Schleswig-Holstein are already fully utilized by existing traffic, an increase in capacity is only conceivable by additional crossing possibilities and infrastructure expansions. The contract is divided into 4 crossing areas, which are described in more detail below. The work phases 1-2 (optionally 3-4) are to be planned according to HOAI in all trades. It must be ensured that suitable locations for catenary masts can be selected for subsequent electrification (mast lanes etc.) Further information can be found in the appendix "Description of services".
