The Web Content Management section (SICW) section has implemented and continues to support and evolve GAC's Web Content Management System (WCMS). The WCMS uses the OpenText Teamsite (formely known as Interwoven) product to manage 200+ websites at HQ and around the world and to manage GAC’s internet, intranet, extranet websites. In addition, a number of public facing web applications depend on this platform for web templates and web components.
Teamsite is a business critical platform for GAC and as such requires a very high availability. The WCMS system is also integrated with other mission critical systems. It is also the primary tool for publishing the departmental broadcast messages.
SICW is implementing regular code releases of Interwoven that have significant impact on the system and users. These releases include major changes and new components required by the Government of Canada on Web Content Accessibility and Web Content Usability Guidelines. In addition to the TB compliance requirements, a product upgrade is required to ensure the platform uses vendor-supported technologies.
SICW requires the services of one (1) Business Analyst, level 3 to lead the business and system requirements gathering for a web content management solution (WCMS). The consultant will work with the development, support team, and various stakeholders to understand and document their content management requirements and assist end-users testing, acceptance and training.
