Description

The objective of this Bid call is to hire a qualified contractor for replacement of complete power distribution, asphalt pavement, light standard and elevator upgrade at Professor Lake Recreation Centre, 1660 North Park Drive   Professor’s Lake Recreation Centre was built in 1981. The two-level hydraulic elevator, power distribution system and exterior light standards are original. The electrical cabin and controls need to be upgraded to reduce the maintenance cost and provide better serviceability. The power distribution equipment needs to be replaced to mitigate the potential risk of unexpected failure. Upgrading the main power to 600V service will allow for potential future expansion. The asphalt pavement at the east portion of the main parking area, the entire driveway, and localized areas of the other two parking lots are in poor condition. At the main parking lot, there are significant areas of alligator cracking, patched potholes, and sunken areas causing ponding due to ineffective sheet drainage to the green space to the south. The asphalt pavement needs to be replaced at the main parking lot (from the west elevation of the main building all the way to the east limit of the asphalt), the main driveway and drive aisle, and at the boat ramp. Localized asphalt replacement is required at the other two parking lots. All of the parking lot lights including all underground feeders need to be replaced as they are original, and the feeders have been temporarily repaired.Substantial Performance of Work shall be May 31, 2025
