Australia - Support to develop SA Electricity Plan and PLEXOS network model

Description

Specialist support is required to work with department to draft and deliver the midyear inaugural South Australian Electricity Plan (the Plan). This would involve:

Working with the Director of Forecasting and Planning (and wider Department as necessary) to deliver the first South Australian Electricity Development Plan by midyear. The Plan will support power system decision making and will also seek to facilitate the least cost pathway for electricity supply capacity to meet demand reliably and securely while also meeting South Australia’s carbon emissions targets.
Building and maintain network model (PLEXOS) to support identification and analysis of the SA network, potential constraints, growth scenarios, reliability and security challenges.
Modelling and analysing a five-year South Australian reliability outlook.
Support in consulting industry and South Australian Energy Stakeholders to develop growth/change scenarios including refinement of inputs and assumptions from base model. 
Working with the Director of Forecasting and Planning to build SA Government (PLEXOS and other as/if necessary) modelling capabilities. This could include handover/sharing of operational (PLEXOS) models that underpin the Plan.
