Description
Südwestrundfunk (SWR) has built a new media center in Baden-Baden with the aim of achieving even stronger networking and pooling of resources for new programming. The new building will also include a 24/7 area, which will house the work areas that are to be staffed around the clock by the same personnel. This also includes the Media Operations Center (MOC), which is the central hub for all incoming and outgoing media signals at SWR. These are generated during the transformation of media production, i.e. the switch from the generation and processing of standard digital signals (HD-SDI, AES) to IP-based production processes.
When planning the project, it was decided to divide the required services into two award packages:
? "VP1 - Room equipment and control room technology for the MOC in the MEDZ"
? "VP2 - Broadcast technology for the MOC in the MEDZ"
As part of the overall project, the room equipment and control room technology required for the centralization of the new MOC area must be provided in award package 1.
In this award package 2, the broadcast technology must be implemented and the workstations of the Playout Center (POC) currently in operation must be relocated. The relocation of the POC must be carried out during ongoing operations. The requirements for these services are described in this award procedure for "Broadcast technology for the MOC in the MEDZ".
Südwestrundfunk as the client (AG) wants to create a working environment in the new media center for the Media Operations Center (MOC) and the Playout Center (POC) with broadcast technology that enables smooth, effective and trouble-free operation around the clock across all locations.
The "Broadcast technology for the Media Operations Center (MOC) in the Media Center (MEDZ) in Baden-Baden must achieve the objectives listed in the document Procedural Document Chapter 1. The tender documents consist of the following documents:
