Jamaica - Substation transformer

Description

Eligible and qualified bidders are invited to respond to a request for the supply and delivery of a 2MVA, 24x13.8KV ONAF secondary substation transformer as outlined in the schedule of requirements of the bidding document.

The expected duration of the contract for the supply is 45 weeks from agreement date.

1. The unit shall be an outdoor secondary substation distribution type of sealed (air-tight) liquid-filled (new, unused mineral insulating oil meeting the ANSI C57.12.00 standard) construction for preservation of gas blanket over the liquid in the tank. The metallurgy and coating of the unit and its accessories(including control boxes and conduits) shall be suitable for marine environment corrosive conditions, to ensure full operational life and low maintenance costs for this outdoor installation. Sealed tank construction shall be furnished with cooling radiators. The tank size, radiators and bushings shall be sized for forced air cooled rating (ONAF).

2. The core shall be constructed from high grade, non-aging cold rolled grain oriented (CRGO) silicon steel laminations conforming to HiB grade with lamination thickness not more than 0.23mm to 0.27mm or better (quoted grade and type shall be used).

3. The power transformer shall conform in all aspects to highest standards of engineering, design, workmanship, and the latest revisions of relevant ANSI/IEEE standards at the time of offer. The  purchaser shall have the power to reject any work or material, which, in his judgment, is not in fullaccordance therewith. The transformer offered, shall be complete with all components, necessary for its effective and trouble free operation. Such components shall be deemed to be within the scope of supply, irrespective of whether those are specifically brought out in this specification.
