Description
Podcast Editing & Post-Production Tender Brief
Deadline for applications is 11pm Sunday 1st March 2020.
1. Overview
Community Creations CLG t/a SpunOut.ie is seeking tender submissions to edit 7-10 podcasts, each 20 - 45 minutes long (final length), on a once off basis for online distribution. In this round, we invite production agencies and freelancers to apply to deliver all outputs before March 16th 2020. Final podcast edits are to be delivered on a running basis, that is, not in bulk on the due date.
2. Context
SpunOut.ie is Ireland’s youth information website created by young people, for young people. We provide information to around 150,000+ active readers each month. Our vision is to help create an Ireland where young people aged between 16 and 25 are empowered with the information they need to live active, happy, and healthy lives.
We believe young people should have easy access to relevant, reliable, and non-judgemental information.
On SpunOut.ie we provide information on a range of different topics broken down into sections; education, employment, health, life and opinion.
SpunOut.ie provides a space for young people to have their voices heard and to share their life experiences with other young people. We do this by publishing articles written by readers aged 16 to 25 in the Opinion section on the site. With this project, we engaged 13 young volunteers in a 3 month programme on the Sustainable Development Goals, with an aim to produce a number of podcasts on the goals.

4 . Specification for Quote
4.1 Podcast specifications
Recording stems will be provided for each podcast. All podcasts are recorded with quality audio equipment (large diaphragm condenser microphones, pop shields etc). Unedited content length varies from 30 - 60 minutes.
We are aiming for a final episode length of 20 - 40 minutes. Initial, overall edit notes will be provided to the editor from SpunOut.ie. The audio editor will be tasked with making the content more succinct, while keeping the broad info provided within the podcast whole.
Each podcast has a basic and quite loose format of:
Official Intro
Musical sting (TBD)
Discussion between guests and host
Interview segment (only in some)
Musical sting (TBD)
Official outro
All the above will have been recorded at different times and in some cases in a different order to the above.
Musical sting to be sourced by the editor from Artlist.io, to which a login can be provided.
We are looking for a reasonably clean edit for each episode, with long pauses, more obvious ahhs/umms/ehhs, producer interjections, repetitions and unclear content, all removed.
4.2 Price
Costing should be provided either per day, with a guideline on number of days to complete 7-10 podcast episodes OR per podcast episode.
Quotes should include mixing for online distribution to podcast platforms.
Prices quoted should be inclusive of VAT, if and where applicable. Please outline the cost of any additional extras that may be required or desired by SpunOut.ie.
