Description
The Scheme (The Works) comprises of the Removal of All Existing Modern Paint Finishes from the Long Gallery, Billiards Room and Returns to the West Elevation of the Main House using Nebulus Cleaning Methods and the Repair of Flatwork, Moulded Work, Cornice Repairs, Filling Out of Larger Cracks and Minor Crack / Crazing Filling using Advanced Conservation Techniques as appropriate to historic stucco work.
Hacking off the existing cementitious render to the external walls of the Nursery Wing to the South and First Floor Corridor to the West, part remedial pointing of the then exposed masonry walls, the application of new historic lime rendering over same together with repairs, renewals, repointing and cleaning of the formal stone perimeter details to include eaves, plinths, heads, window and door surround treatments, thresholds, isolated stone features, etc.
Works to cast iron gutters and downpipes and the repair and redecoration of existing timber windows and doors all on the same elevations of the listed historic Fota House building all employing best conservation practice and advanced conservation techniques in a "live" occupied campus/visitor attraction/public domain as per as the Detailed Drawings, Specifications and other Documents which form part of the Tender Documents/Works Requirements
